Pakistan’s famous umpire Ahsan Raza also set a new world record and became the first umpire in the world to officiate in 50 T20 matches.
Ahsan Raza had won the honor of umpiring in 49 T20 matches, but thanks to umpiring in the second T20 match between Zimbabwe and Pakistan, he became the first umpire in the world to officiate in the 50th International T20 match.
Before the second T20 match in Rawalpindi, Aleem Dar congratulated him on achieving this honor by presenting him with a commemorative shield from the Pakistan Cricket Board.
Ahsan Raza was awarded a special memento to mark his record breaking 50th T20I appearance as an umpire, before the start of the #PAKvZIM 2nd T20I in Rawalpindi.

Ahsan Raza said that I never thought that I will become the first umpire in the world to win the honor of umpiring in 50 T20 international matches.
He said that ‘I worked very hard to reach this point, I got the support of Pakistan Cricket Board and International Cricket Council due to which I reached this point’.

The umpire, who was injured as a result of the terrorist attack on the Sri Lankan team in Lahore in 2009, said that the incident has passed and I have forgotten it, now the glory of international cricket has been restored in the country and I wanted to People remember me by my umpiring.
Ahsan Raza used to keep wickets while playing domestic cricket and he believes that the experience he gained while keeping wickets has a lot to do with his correct decisions.
He said that just as in umpiring not every ball is decided, similarly in wicket keeping not every ball is caught or stumped so your focus remains constant.
The Pakistani umpire said that now umpiring is more than a profession because the umpires have to focus a lot because of the excessive technology in the game.
Interestingly, Pakistan’s Aleem Dar is second in the list of umpiring in the most matches in T20 Internationals, who has officiated in 47 T20 matches so far.

The third number in this list is England’s EN Gould, who has the honor of umpiring in 37 T20 International matches.
It should be noted that a few days ago, Aleem Dar became the umpire who umpired in the most ODI matches due to his umpire in the ODI series against Zimbabwe and it is no less than an honor for Pakistan that he is the most in Test cricket as well. Aleem Dar also holds the honor of umpiring in more than 132 matches.
Thus, Pakistani officials have the honor of umpiring in most international matches in all three formats of the game.
