Pakistan’s decision to allow Gaza students to complete their medical education in the country

On behalf of the Government of Pakistan Gaza About 100 medical students of the country have been decided to complete their education from the medical colleges of the country.

A special committee will decide the date for the students to start their studies in Pakistan.

This decision was taken by the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) following allowing medical and dental students from Gaza to complete their studies in Pakistan.

In a statement issued by PMDC President Rizwan Taj to Independent Urdu, it has been said that the institution took this decision in a recent meeting on the request of the Pakistani High Commissioner in London to accommodate Gaza students in Pakistan.

The statement added that this was done in view of the current situation to provide a resource-rich environment for Gazan students to pursue their medical degrees and contribute to the health sector in Gaza.

On the other hand, Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch also confirmed the government’s decision in the weekly briefing and said that students from Gaza will soon complete their education from various medical colleges of Pakistan. ‘

According to Hina Kayani, in this regard, the High Commission has suggested the arrival of batches of 20 to 30 students. While regarding 100 students will complete their education in medical colleges and universities of Pakistan.

President PMDC has said that students from Gaza will get an opportunity to learn by studying in Pakistan.

He added that studying medicine here will have a positive impact on Gazan students in their community and the overall health care system in Gaza. ‘

According to Dr. Rizwan Taj, this process can provide opportunities for international cooperation in medical education in Pakistan.

“These graduates can also establish links to international health organizations to work on health care projects in Gaza,” he said. ‘

According to President PMD, students will specialize in areas such as cardiology, orthopedics, oncology, pediatrics or surgery.
