ICC ODIs played in India Cricket World Cup for 2023 In the first warm-up match on Friday Pakistan Of New Zealand Social media users are giving mixed reactions after the defeat by the Pakistani bowlers.

Pakistan played their first warm-up match against New Zealand in Hyderabad Deccan on Friday, with the Kiwis defeating the Green Shirts by five wickets.

Batting first, Pakistan scored 345 runs for the loss of five wickets in the allotted 50 overs and set New Zealand a target of 346 runs, which New Zealand achieved in 43.4 overs.

On behalf of New Zealand, Richan Ravindra played a vital role in his team’s victory by scoring 97 runs. On behalf of Pakistan, Mohammad Rizwan scored 103 runs, Babar Azam scored 80 runs and Saud Shakeel scored 75 runs to set a good target on behalf of Team Green, but even then victory could not be Pakistan’s destiny.

After Pakistan’s defeat by New Zealand, social media users are giving mixed reactions, but the Pakistani bowlers are mostly being blamed for the defeat.

Farman Amir, a user on X (formerly Twitter), expressed his views and wrote: ‘Pakistan’s bowling attack is club level, any team can score 350 to 380 in the World Cup. England and India can score 430 to 450 runs.

A user named Izhar drew attention to the lack of pacer Naseem Shah and the weakness of Pakistani bowling and wrote that ‘Pakistan does not have any good all-rounder and spin bowler either. The Pakistani team is missing Naseem Shah.

A user named Hamza asked, ‘Is there any way that Zaman Khan and Abrar Ahmed can be made part of the squad instead of reserves?’

Rana Abdul Basit said: ‘I am clear that Zaman Khan is better than Hasan Ali, Faheem Ashraf than Wasim Jr. and Imad Wasim than Muhammad Nawaz.’

An X user named Soha also missed Naseem Shah and wrote, ‘Our bowling attack is incomplete because of this triangle.’

Some users appreciated the efforts of Pakistani bowler Osama Mir. A user named Haroon said that ‘Osama bowled well, he deserved Williamson’s wicket but once again many of his catches were dropped.’

X user Abdul Hasab wrote: ‘Osama Mir can take wickets on the batting pitch too, Hasan Ali can be fed with the new ball along with Shaheen Afridi, Saud Shakeel can solve the middle order problem.’

He further wrote: ‘Shadab and Osama Mir or Shadab and Nawaz, still to be decided. Still a question mark on Wasim Junior’s selection.

X-user Saad said, ‘Pakistani fans’ worries are unnecessary, it was just a warm-up match, in which the green shirts used all their options.’

He further wrote: ‘There were many positives for us in this match as the arrival of Saud Shakeel settled our batting line-up. Encourage all the players, be it Wasim Jr or anyone else.’
