Pakistani animated film Donkey King released on Amazon

Political filmmaker Aziz Jindani’s animated film ‘The Donkey King’ has been released in English language on the web-streaming website Amazon Prime in the US and UK following setting new records of popularity.

‘The Donkey King’ was initially released in Pakistan in Urdu language in 2018 and the film was well received due to the story.

The story of ‘The Donkey King’ is based on an animal kingdom called ‘Azaad Nagar’, whose king, the lion, decides to retire and hand over his kingdom to a new king.

The plot of the film becomes interesting when a donkey is named as the king of the kingdom.

Donkey is recommended for the position by a cunning fox, but Donkey is unwilling to become the new king of the kingdom.

After being persuaded by the cunning fox, the donkey is ready to become the king, but the story revolves around his choice and several interesting events unfold in the process.

The film was a record grosser in Pakistan, following which the said film was dubbed and released in Spain and Russia.

The Donkey King also holds the distinction of being the highest grossing Pakistani animated film of all time and the film has been translated into a total of 10 languages.

According to filmmaker Aziz Jindani, the story of The Donkey King was well received and released on Amazon Prime at the request of British and American film fans.

He said that thanks to the story, the film is becoming popular globally and people all over the world want to watch the animated film.
