Pakistan won the Emerging Asia Cup by defeating India

In the final of the Emerging Asia Cup, Pakistan Shaheens won the Emerging Asia Cup for the second time following defeating the India A team. Chasing 353 runs, India A collapsed for 224 runs in 40 overs.

Pakistan Shaheens defeated India A by 128 runs in the final of the Emerging Asia Cup played in Colombo.

Pakistan Shaheens scored 352 runs for 8 wickets in the allotted overs, Tayyab Tahir played a brilliant innings of 108 runs in his innings of 71 balls including 4 sixes and 12 fours.

India A won the toss and decided to field following which Saeem Ayub and Sahibzada Farhan of Pakistan Shaheens opened the innings.

Both the openers scored half-centuries forming a century partnership, Saeem Ayub scored a fifty off 43 balls with the help of 1 six and 7 fours while Sahibzada Farhan completed his half-century with 3 sixes and 4 fours.

Sahibzada Farhan of Pakistan Shaheens scored 65 runs and Saim Ayub scored 59 runs, Umeer bin Yousuf and Mubaser Khan scored 35 and 35 runs.

India AK Rajvardhan and Ryan Prag took 2.2 wickets each, Harshit Rana, Manuvusother and Nishant Sindhu took 1.1 wickets each.

Earlier, Pakistan defeated Sri Lanka by 60 runs in the first semi-final, while India qualified for the final following defeating Bangladesh by 51 runs in the second semi-final.
