According to ICC, a total of 20 teams will be in action in the T20 World Cup 2026, while the remaining 8 teams will be selected through regional qualifiers like the previous T20 World Cup.

The T20 World Cup 2026 will be played on the format of the recently concluded T20 World Cup in which 20 teams will be placed in 4 groups and 8 teams will qualify for the Super Eight stage.
