Pakistan has strongly protested Afghanistan over Bannu Kent attack. The Deputy Head of Mission of the Afghan Embassy was summoned to the Foreign Office and handed over a protest letter. On July 15, 8 security personnel were martyred and many were injured in the attack on Bannu cantonment.
The statement issued by the Foreign Office said that the attack was carried out by Hafiz Gul Bahadur group based in Afghanistan. The Hafiz Gul Bahadur group, along with the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan, is responsible for the deaths of hundreds of civilians and law enforcement officials in terrorist attacks in Pakistan.
According to the Foreign Office, the interim Afghan government was urged to conduct a full investigation. Immediate, strict and effective action should be taken once morest those responsible for the attack. The use of Afghanistan’s territory in such attacks should be stopped. Pakistan reiterated its serious concerns over the presence of terrorist organizations in Afghanistan, and said that such incidents are also once morest the spirit of mutual relations between the two brotherly countries.

ISPR said that the terrorist attack was carried out by Hafiz Gul Bahadur group. This group is carrying out terrorist activities in Pakistan from Afghan territory, Pakistan has asked the interim Afghan government to take necessary measures several times.
