Pakistan reach finals of World Championship of Legends – Sports

In the first semi-final of the World Cricket Championship of Legends, Pakistan defeated the West Indies by 20 runs. The West Indies champions were chased down by 178 runs in pursuit of 199 runs.

In the semi-final played in Northampton, Pakistan became the first team to qualify for the Champions Final. Chasing a target of 199 runs, West Indies champions were bowled out for 178 runs, with Ashley Nurse scoring 36, Dwayne Smith 22 and Chris Gayle 19.

In the first semi-final, opener Sharjal Khan Safar, Sohaib Maqsood one and Shoaib Malik were dismissed without scoring a run, following which captain Younis Khan and Kamran Akmal took the score to 89, Kamran Akmal was dismissed for 46 runs.

In the big match of the event, Shahid Afridi 1 and Misbah-ul-Haq returned to the pavilion without scoring any runs, while on the other hand, Younis Khan played a turn of 65 runs off 45 balls.
