Pakistan: No-confidence motion three votes

Home Minister Sheikh Rashid has announced that a no-confidence motion against Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan will be put to a vote on April 3. The no-confidence motion, which was tabled in the National Assembly on Monday, will begin debate tomorrow and will be put to a vote on Sunday.

He said all the parties that defected from the ruling party would return and the Imran government would overcome the mistrust. The ruling coalition had staged a show of force in the city on Sunday and the joint opposition coalition on Monday.

Leaders of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), an alliance of the main opposition parties, vowed to topple the government at the rally. The PML (Q), which withdrew its support for the Imran government, has said it will support Punjab again following the removal of the chief minister.
