Pakistan may face restrictions on partnership with Iran, US warns again – World

The United States has warned Pakistan and Iran of new sanctions in case of progress in new nuclear agreements. US State Department Deputy Spokesman Vedant Patel said in a press briefing that if Pakatan and the US make progress in mutual agreements, they may face new sanctions.

The Deputy Spokesperson of the US Department of State said that Pakistan should see relations with Iran under its foreign policy. This American warning issued on the occasion of the Iranian President’s three-day visit to Pakistan is of unusual relative importance.

Pakistan and Iran are also working on a gas pipeline project, but the work has stalled due to the American warning and on the occasion of the visit of Iranian President Dr. Ibrahim Raisi to Pakistan, both governments have preferred to remain silent regarding the project.

Vedanta Patel said that wherever there is work on weapons of mass destruction programs around the world, steps will be ensured by the US. We warn anyone who does business with Iran of the possible consequences. Whatever the government of Pakistan has to do is to ensure the achievement of its foreign policy goals.
