There is fear.

In the resolution presented by Pakistan in the United Nations Human Rights Council, all forms of religious hatred, including desecration of the Holy Quran, have been condemned and it has been emphasized that the elements involved in such incidents should be brought to justice.

Such laws should be made to punish the elements involved in the incidents of desecration. Those who incite hatred, enmity and violence should also be dealt with.

The resolution has also appealed to the head of the UN Council to point out the flaws in the laws of different countries.

Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto said in a video link that desecration of the Holy Quran was done with the idea that no legal action will be taken against the person.

Bilawal Bhutto said that freedom of expression is indispensable but hate speech cannot be defended.

The French ambassador said that human rights protect people, not religions, beliefs or their symbols. The United Nations or any country has no right to tell what is sacred.

The British ambassador said that it is difficult to define where freedom of expression becomes unacceptable, while the American ambassador said that the US would vote against the draft.
