Pakistan defeated Afghanistan by 142 runs

In the first ODI between Pakistan and Afghanistan, the national team defeated Afghanistan by 142 runs.

In the ongoing match in Hambantota, Sri Lanka, Pakistan captain Babar Azam won the toss and decided to bat first.

Opener Fakhar Zaman returned to the pavilion following scoring two runs off four balls, Fazalul Haq Farooqui took Fakhar Zaman’s wicket, then captain Babar Azam was caught by Mujeebur Rahman without scoring any runs.

Rizwan scored 21 runs, Agha Salman scored 7 runs, Osama Mir scored 2 runs and Shaheen Afridi also scored 2 runs.

Imam-ul-Haq fought for a long time and played an innings of 61 runs, apart from them Shadab Khan scored 39 runs and Iftikhar Ahmed stood out with 30 runs, Naseem Shah remained not out with 18 runs.

On behalf of Afghanistan, Mujeebur Rehman took 3 wickets, Mohammad Nabi and Rashid Khan took 2, 2 wickets and Rahmat Shah and Fazal Haq Farooqui took one wicket each.
