Pakistan Army formed an inquiry committee on the allegations against former DGISI General (retd) Faiz Hameed

The Pakistan Army has formed a committee to probe the allegations once morest former DG Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) General (Rtd) Faiz Hameed for putting pressure on the private housing society. The committee used its influence on behalf of the former DGISI to gain illegal interests by putting pressure on the top city administration.

According to the sources, the Pakistan Army has started the process of self-accountability within the institution on the instructions of the Supreme Court and the Ministry of Defense and appointed a high-level committee to investigate the Top City scandal once morest former DGISI Lt. Gen. (retd) Faiz Hameed. A committee has been formed.

Formed under the chairmanship of Major General, according to sources, the committee will look into the allegations of ex-DGISI using his influence to pressurize the top city administration to obtain illegitimate interests and if the allegations are proved. It will also make recommendations for action.

It should be noted that a three-member bench of the Supreme Court headed by Chief Justice Qazi Faiz Isa had ordered the petitioner to refer to the Ministry of Defense while refusing to proceed under Article 184 C-3 in this case.

The court had said that it is a matter of honor of the institution, so the institution should take action itself. On which, on the orders of the Ministry of Defense, the leadership of the Pakistan Army has decided to conduct a self-investigation of the allegations once morest its former officer under the system of self-accountability of the institution.
