Mr. Kabulov called on the international community to step up support to address pressing humanitarian needs and create a roadmap for long-term development and prosperity in Afghanistan.

So far, the international community has not recognized the government Taliban in Afghanistan.

The Taliban government has suggested that Russia can act as an intermediary between the United Nations and Afghanistan to reduce pressure on the sanctions for this country as well as helping to rebuild the country.

The Taliban government also asked Russia to support peaceful stability in the region in general and Afghanistan in particular, as well as in the reconstruction process of this southwestern Asian country.
