Half of England team touring Pakistan infected with virus Captain Ben Stokes has been affected by the disease. Out of the 16 people who came on the tour, 13-14 people have fallen ill The Telegraph Reporting. With this, all the players did not participate in the training held on Wednesday. Ben Stakes and others are staying in a hotel in Islamabad. The stars are suffering from diarrhoea.
The team has brought along its own chef to ensure that members do not get food poisoning. Omar Messiane was included in the team following such a problem occurred in the T20 series held in September. He is staying in the hotel with the team. But it is not clear whether the current problem is due to food.
The PCB and ECB are in discussions regarding the commencement of the 1st #PAKvENG Test as some England players are down with viral infection. The PCB continues to monitor the situation, is in contact with the ECB and will provide further updates in due course.

Stokes released the final XI on Tuesday, including Test debutant Liam Livingston. But due to illness there will be a change in the team.
Several England players – including Ben Stokes – and staff members said to be feeling unwell here in Rawalpindi. They’ve been advised to stay at the hotel and “rest up”.

Meanwhile, Harry Brook, Zach Crawley, Keaton Jennings, Ollie Pope and Joe Root have arrived for training at the Rawalpindi Stadium. The training was conducted under the leadership of head coach Brendan McCullum. Root had symptoms of illness on Tuesday but has now recovered. He responded that ‘I don’t think the illness is food poisoning or covid and it might be something else that has come together’.
The test to be held from tomorrow will be delayed by a day. The England and Wales Cricket Board announced on Twitter that the health condition of the players is being monitored. He also said that he had discussed this with the Pakistan Cricket Board.
