Pak New Zealand match ends inconclusively due to rain, hailstorm

The fourth T20 match of the 5-match series between the teams of Pakistan and New Zealand in Rawalpindi was ended without result.

Earlier, the ongoing match in Rawalpindi was stopped due to rain and hailstorm.

Batting first on Pakistan’s invitation, New Zealand scored 164 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 19 overs before the match was stopped due to rain.

Mark Chapman scored 71 not out for New Zealand, while Chad Bowes scored 54, captain Tom Latham scored 13, Richan Ronda 8, Will Young 6 and Daryl Mitchell scored 3 runs.

On behalf of Pakistan, all-rounder Imad Wasim dismissed 3 Kiwi batsmen for 19 runs in 4 overs.

Apart from them, fast bowlers Shaheen Shah Afridi and Haris Rauf took one wicket each.

Earlier, Pakistan had won the toss and invited New Zealand to bat.

It should be noted that Pakistan has a two-one lead in the 5-match series against New Zealand.

In the third match of the series, New Zealand defeated Pakistan by 4 runs after a sensational encounter, national batsman Iftikhar Ahmed’s aggressive innings of 60 runs off 24 balls went in vain.

Earlier, Pakistan defeated New Zealand by 38 runs in the second T20 match thanks to Babar Azam’s brilliant century and Haris Rauf’s excellent bowling to take a 0-2 lead in the series.

In the first T20 match of the series, Pakistan won the match by 88 runs by reducing the visiting team to just 94 runs thanks to Haris Rauf’s brilliant bowling.
