Everyone has the experience of waking up one day and feeling embarrassed because of the sudden military enlistment. As it is more common than you think, it is important to get better quickly.
‘Doctor Dingyo’, who runs a YouTube channel as an internal medicine specialist, cited stomatitis, stomatitis, and herpes simplex as the most common diseases and explained how to get better in a day or two.
First of all, what these three diseases have in common is that they occur when you are tired, and that they are easy to recur if you are tired once more following getting well. Also, you don’t have to go to the hospital, you will get better in regarding a week. However, during that week, it was really painful or uncomfortable, so an experienced person would have been desperate for a way to get better quickly.
1. stomatitis
Stomatitis is commonly known as a disease, but the official name is ‘aphthous stomatitis’.
Pharmacies sell patches for the treatment of stomatitis. Apply the patch to the affected area of stomatitis, press it with a cotton swab for regarding 10 seconds, and then go to sleep. The reason why it is attached when sleeping is because it is easy to fix. Put it on when you sleep, and when you wake up, it will improve regarding 50%, and if you put it on the next night as well, it will usually get better in two days.
However, it is difficult to attach a patch to the tonsils or the side of the tongue, and even if it is applied while sleeping, it is difficult to fix it, so it is not effective because it falls off quickly. Therefore, a drug known as ‘Albochil’ must be applied.
This drug is misused by most people, and it should be diluted 5 times with water. For adults, it should be diluted 5 times with distilled water and for children, it should be diluted 10 times.
Since stomatitis patch and Alvochil are over-the-counter drugs, they can be purchased without a prescription at pharmacies.
2. stomatitis
A mouth disease in which both ends of the lips are cracked is called stomatitis. About 0.7% of the total population has it. It is closely related to infection and is mainly associated with staphylococci and fungi (fungi).
As it is highly likely to be related to infection, there are ointments that contain a panacea steroid to reduce inflammation, an antibiotic to kill staphylococci, and an antifungal drug to kill fungi. If an ointment containing these three ingredients is prescribed by a hospital and applied, more than 90% can be cured in one day.
However, the problem is that the steroid component of this ointment is very strong. Therefore, if you are concerned regarding strong steroids, ask them to prescribe an ointment with antifungal and weak steroids. This usually heals in two days.
However, if it does not heal well, you can see a quick effect by mixing a little bit of an antibiotic ointment such as ‘Fucidine’ with the prescribed ointment and applying it.
When applying the ointment, never apply it with your hands. Since the hands are also full of germs, be sure to use a cotton swab to apply the ointment, taking care not to contaminate the ointment.
In addition, in the case of antifungal drugs, even if they are cured, they must be applied continuously for 1 to 2 weeks to completely kill the bacteria. Therefore, even if it seems to have improved in a day or two, if you neglect to apply the ointment, there is a high possibility of recurrence.
3. Herpes simplex
The official name of the disease commonly known as blisters around the lips is ‘herpes simplex cheilitis’.
It can be treated with pills. There is a method of oral administration of 2000 mg of valacyclovir twice a day or of famciclovir 1500 mg of once a day. These two are pills that can be prescribed by the hospital.
When you eat it is also important. If you continue to suffer from herpes simplex recurrence, you will notice that the area around your lips tickles when you are tired and feels like it will come up soon.
Then, the above pill is prescribed, and in this case, if you take it for a day, it will disappear cleanly.
However, from the moment it is fully manifested and the visible blisters are caught, the efficacy of the drug is greatly reduced. Therefore, it is important to take the medication just before the blisters appear and as soon as the itchiness strikes.
