Paid users of X (formerly Twitter) can now hide their likes feed

OX, formerly Twitter, announced last Thursday (14) that its premium users, paying subscriptions, will now have the option to hide the feed of liked tweets from the public, and make it visible only to you.

When the option is activated, the likes tab should completely disappear from that user’s profile. The new feature can be activated in the “Early Access” tab in the Preferences world.

This small adjustment, sold with an erotic touch by the platform’s publication (complete with eye and pepper emoji), is another addition to the plan, in search of more subscribers. After all, to maintain some momentum in its value, the company will have to invest in more users, as its revenue fell by 60% in the United States alone.

The idea is that other people cannot have a general summary of what the user liked throughout their life on the platform. It will still be possible to see individual likes from these users on posts, only access to the feed will be restricted.

The tool can be very useful for public figures, see public relations crises that arose from silent likes — such as when US senator Ted Cruz’s account, in 2017, liked a pornographic clip on the social network.
