Padrino López rejects CSIS accusation of increasing pressure on Guyana

Venezuelan Defense Minister G/J Vladimir Padrino López has rejected recent statements by the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), which claim that Nicolás Maduro is putting pressure on Guyana.

In view of this, Godfather denounced through social media an alleged campaign of disinformation and manipulation orchestrated -according to the ministry- by the United States once morest Venezuela.

“The entire imperial apparatus of disinformation continues its path of manipulation and deception, wanting to make us appear to the world as aggressors when in reality it is Guyana, beautiful and supported by the Southern Command and openly financed by ExxonMobil,” he said.

These statements came following CSIS released an aerial image of the construction of a bridge over the Cuyuní River and reported a “strategy of coercion towards Guyana, using fear as a bargaining chip.”

“Are the actions undertaken by the Bolivarian Government to provide better living conditions in terms of health, education and services to our Essequiban brothers a strategy to instill fear?” he questioned. Godfather.

In this regard, the minister assured that this information is totally false and explained that “it is Guyana, supported by the Southern Command and financed by ExxonMobil,” who seeks to divert attention from the legitimate Venezuelan claim on the Essequibo; “They will not divert us from our route! The Essequibo is ours!” he said.

Padrino also stressed that Venezuela will maintain its firm intention to recover the Essequibo territory, without deviating from its commitment to the well-being of the people.
