Padel – Alpine takes over from Renault as partner of the Greenweez Paris Major at Roland-Garros

This week, the French Tennis Federation and Alpine formalized a new agreement concerning the padel tournament organized at Roland-Garros.

In details, Alpine becomes Premium Partner of Greenweez Paris Major for two years (2023 et 2024).

Partner of the first contested edition last year, Renault has therefore decided to make way for the Alpine brand which belongs to the Automotive Group.

Also a partner of the Roland-Garros tennis tournament, the diamond brand therefore seems to want to separate the two events and highlight Alpine around padel, a booming, fast and spectacular sport that is attracting more and more brands.

The opportunity for Alpine to come and “tickle” Cupra, a Spanish car brand very involved in sponsoring around padel.

“The partnership remains within the Renault Group, it is now supported by Alpine” confirms the diamond mark.

As part of this partnership, the Alpine brand will be displayed in particular on the nets of the main courts of the tournament which will take place this year in September, replacing the Renault diamond. Alpine vehicles will also be exhibited at Roland-Garros. “Padel is an intense and demanding sporting discipline that brings together enthusiasts from the start as well as beginners. For me, this partnership with the Greenweez Paris Major was obvious because we share the same values: passion, commitment and team spirit.” explained Antonino Labate, Alpine Sales, Marketing and Customer Experience Director, in a press release.

It remains to be seen whether activations featuring the Alpine F1 team and its two French drivers Esteban Ocon. The week of the tournament, from September 3 to 10, there will be no Grand Prix… Zinedine ZidaneAlpine ambassador and “operator” of the Z5 Padel complex will also be there?

For the second edition of this “Grand Slam” of the Premier Padel circuit, 48 women’s teams will participate in the tournament this time, in addition to the 56 best men’s teams. Logically, the prize money of the Greenweez Paris Major is increasing and will reach more than one million euros. Evening sessions will also be set up with 2 matches scheduled at 6 p.m. and then at 8 p.m.
