Many products have recently been recalled following the discovery of pesticides or bacteria such as Buitoni pizzas contaminated with E. coli bacteria or Kinder chocolates which have caused cases of salmonellosis

The government website reminder.conso.gov launched a recall of packages of pistachios on Thursday April 21 following the discovery of traces of the pesticide “in excess” of the maximum residue limits (MRLs) set by the European Union. This recall concerns shelled pistachios of 250 grams of the B & S Cuisine brand, marketed in “Grand Frais” stores. This is lot 1006 marketed between March 9 and April 8, 2022 and whose consumption deadline is April 30, 2023.

Pesticides and bacteria

Consumers are advised not to consume these pistachios, to bring them back to points of sale for an exchange or a refund or to “destroy the product”. The end of the recall procedure is scheduled for Saturday, May 21, 2022.

After the discovery of pesticides or bacteria, many products have recently been recalled, although food product recalls are regular. Des pizzas Buitoni or some chocolate children have made the news in recent weeks, the first for having been contaminated by the bacterium E. coli, the second for having caused cases of salmonellosis.
