One more recalled product. The government site rappel.conso.gouv launched a recall of packages of pistachios on Thursday following the discovery of traces of pesticides. The authorities have noted “the presence of pesticides in quantities greater” than the maximum residue limits (MRLs) of the European Union.
These are 250-gram packets of shelled pistachios from the B&S Cuisine brand, sold in “Grand Frais” stores between March 9 and April 8, 2022. The recall concerns lot 1006, the use-by date of which has been set. on 30/04/2023.
Regular reminders
The government site advises consumers not to consume these pistachios, to bring them back to points of sale or to “destroy the product”. The end of the recall procedure is scheduled for Saturday, May 21, 2022.
Many products have recently been recalled following the discovery of pesticides or bacteria, although food product recalls are regular. Buitoni pizzas contaminated with E. coli bacteria or even the chocolate children which have caused cases of salmonellosis have made the news in recent weeks.
