Pacific Drive is a road trip through a mysterious inferno, set to take off in 2023
There are some great games that focus on doing multiple rounds with a sophisticated and adaptive challenge, like Saul and Pregnancy worship. But how many of these games put you behind the wheel of a car, and let you take off on the open road? to enter pacific driveIronwood Studios’ first game. The player has to take his car on a journey through a surreal and dangerous path in the Pacific Northwest that is actively collapsing into unreal pockets around the player.
The car is the lifeblood of the player. While they need to get out of the driver’s seat every now and then to clear a lane, check reading or explore an area, they are less vulnerable behind the wheel. The center of the main player will be a garage that will help you to upgrade and repair your car in between horrific thunderstorms, military zones and scary rockworms.
The player’s goal is to make his way to the heart of the Olympic Exclusion Zone and solve the mystery behind exactly what is happening. The initial trailer for the game, which debuted at the Sony State of Play Conference on Tuesday, makes this puzzle a very engaging one. There are very familiar influences from other horrific places, such as the haunted small town of Silent Hill, or the flooded cityscapes and the military control of the the last of us. However, the vehicle and “road-like” elements create an attractive hook.
