Starring in Apple TV’s ambitious ‘Pachinko’
Korean-American actress Jin-ha controversy
Filming released for 2 years from 2010
Inappropriate Comments and Sexual Harassment Comments
A leading actor who appeared in the Apple TV+ original drama ‘Pachinko’ has been accused of sexual harassment by illegally filming an elderly woman in Korea in the past and using inappropriate expressions.
As a result of checking online on the 25th, the Korean-American actress Jinha released several photos of an elderly woman illegally photographed on a Korean subway and bus from July 2010 to September 2011 on her personal portfolio website.
Dozens of elderly women were photographed unprotected and without even knowing they were being photographed. Illegally taken photos were posted on personal blogs that are viewed by an unspecified number of people without a mosaic. In one photo, a foreigner, who is believed to be Jinha’s acquaintance, seemed to enjoy the situation by posing in a ‘V’ next to him, and sexual comments such as ‘Sexy charm’ were posted.
The photos in question are still in the public eye 10 years later. Jinha introduces it as “a photo series ‘Flowers In Bloom’, created to show Korea’s fascinating fashion trends,” but illegally filmed elderly women without their consent and “worked with provocative models and found it difficult to control lust.” ” and “I am imagining connecting dots all over her body,” and the phrase “Kim Jong-Il’s younger sister” was clearly controversial.
The netizen who made the issue public said, “Illegal filming is also a problem, and it was very unpleasant to write down what I felt like criticizing grandmothers. I want the actor to apologize to the victims and take down the post.”
Jinha is a Korean-American actress who is active in both Broadway and TV series. She played ‘Solomon’, the grandson of ‘Sonja’ played by Yoon Yeo-jeong in ‘Pachinko’, which Apple ambitiously released with an investment of 100 billion won.
While ‘Pachinko’ is receiving great acclaim for delicately touching the painful history of Korea, the hardship history of immigrants, and the prejudices that continue to the present through the lives of immigrant families in Korea, “Pachinko, as a Korean-American, will play the history of my family and my country. I was happy to be able to do it,” and attention is focused on how Jinha will respond to this controversy.
