June did not start in the best way for Pablo López. In his second outing this month, the 27-year-old pitcher managed to tie up the Tampa Bay Rays’ offense, but he didn’t have offensive support from the Minnesota Twins.

The native of Cabimas was on the mound for seven innings, in which he allowed five hits, one earned run, gave away a walk and struck out six rivals.

In the bottom of the second inning, Isaac Paredes hit a home run between the left and center fields, but following that the Creole pitcher was able to dominate the following batters. In fact, he ran the last eight back-to-back before Brock Stewart replaced him.

In the end, Tampa Bay left Minnesota (2-1) on the field, so Lopez went without a decision. So far this season he maintains a 3-3 record with a 4.25 ERA and 92 fanouts in 78.1 innings pitched.

It is worth remembering that in his last appearance, on June 1, the Venezuelan was also left without a decision in a commitment where the Twins beat the Cleveland Guardians 7-6.

Likewise, his last victory dates from May 27 once morest the Toronto Blue Jays.
