The Ozon marketplace has launched the sale of Chinese Chery cars through its service in Moscow and the Moscow region. This was stated by a company representative who wished to remain anonymous.
“Ozon has launched car sales. At the moment, this service is available only in Moscow and the Moscow region, but the list of cities will grow over time. So far, only cars from the Chinese brand Chery are available on the marketplace,” Vedomosti newspaper reports the words of an Ozon representative.
In the future, the marketplace plans to add cars of other brands to the catalog. A person will be able to pay for the purchase of a car online, and the purchase and sale agreement will have to be signed upon delivery. At the same time, Ozon does not plan to provide loans for the purchase of cars through its bank.
Earlier, Vyacheslav Zhigalov, vice president and executive director of the specialized association “Russian Automobile Dealers,” predicted that price rise for new passenger cars in Russia will reach 30% in 2023. This will happen due to an increase in recycling collection and a weakening ruble exchange rate.
