“To find the animal that abused my dog to death,” says the shocked owner of the unfortunate Oliver who was abused to death in Arachova.
In particular, he tells Mega: “Find the perpetrator. That’s all I want. I won’t hide from you that I was also beginning to think that the version with the herd of animals was fixed. Finally the prosecutor made the reversal. I am anxiously awaiting the developments and I have confidence in the Greek Justice”.
Martha Poultidou, president of the Panhellenic Group against Animal Abuse, for her part points out that there is a strange secrecy with the person against whom criminal proceedings were brought.
Determined to see it through to the end, the representative of the animal welfare organizations appears, stating that she is modestly optimistic about the course of the case.
The identity of the perpetrator remains unknown. Unconfirmed information wants him to be a member of the municipal council of Arachova with Anthoula Anosoglou, the representative of the Panhellenic Group against Animal Abuse, pointing out that from the beginning the animal welfare organizations were talking about a specific person.
“From the beginning, we insisted on a specific person. All the requests were about him. Justice will render whether this particular person is an accused or not. It is in the hands of the Investigator.”
In any case, the charge of animal abuse is a felony. He is punished with imprisonment and a fine of 50,000 euros.
After the criminal prosecution against a certain person, the scenario of the pack of dogs is removed, although all possibilities are open.
“The owner of the tavern was never even considered a suspect”
Dora Kritikopoulou, a lawyer for the owner of a tavern in Arachova who was “entered” by some into the frame of the case, considering him as one of the suspects, spoke to Live News.
“After 4 months of dragging (my client) with false information that is spread all over the internet, now with very fast procedures the files are at the prosecutor’s office and preliminary examinations have started”, the lawyer initially said.
And she added about her principal: “He was never considered even a suspect, because there is not the slightest indication. No criminal charges have been brought against him.”
At the same time, the lawyer revealed that the owner of the tavern has collected information about Oliver’s case in this 3-month period through everything that has seen the light of day.
“The key question is why my client was targeted. Here it happened that I have to give someone because this is in my interest. Three other people were targeted before the principal,” Ms. Kritikopoulou emphasized.
