## Archyde Sports – Post-Game Interview with Coach Chambers

**Interviewer (Erin Jones, Archyde Sports):** coach Chambers, thank you for taking the time to speak with us after tonight’s tough loss to San Jose State.

**Coach Chambers:** Thanks for having me, Erin. It’s obviously a disappointing result, but we’ll learn from this and move forward.

**erin:** The Spartans certainly came out firing tonight. What were your initial thoughts when you saw them putting up points so consistently early on?

**Coach Chambers:** San Jose State came out with a lot of energy and hit some tough shots early. They’re a talented team offensively, and they did a good job of executing their game plan. We knew they were capable of putting up points, but we didn’t do enough to slow them down.

**Erin:** Three-point shooting was a struggle for the Owls tonight. Was that something you anticipated going into the game, or was it more a matter of San Jose State’s defence?

**Coach Chambers:** We’ve been shooting the ball well in practice, so I wouldn’t say it was something we anticipated. San Jose State played good defense, but I think we also rushed some shots and didn’t always get the best looks. When those aren’t falling, it’s tough to keep pace with a team like San Jose State.

**Erin:** Simeon Cottle battled hard tonight, but ultimately it wasn’t enough to overcome the Spartans’ firepower. What did you see from Cottle and how can the team build off his performance moving forward?

**Coach Chambers:** Simeon showed a lot of heart tonight. He played hard, attacked the basket, and never gave up. We need that kind of effort from everyone on the team.

**Erin:** Looking ahead, what’s the focus for the Owls as you prepare for your next opponent?

**Coach Chambers:** We need to learn from our mistakes tonight. We need to be more disciplined on defense, shoot the ball better, and find ways to create better scoring opportunities. We have a talented group, and I believe we can bounce back from this.

**Erin:** Thanks for your time, Coach. We wish you and the Owls the best of luck in your next game.

**Coach Chambers:** thanks, Erin.
