OWC will launch an ultra-complete Thunderbolt 4 dock without a big power brick

OWC today unveiled a new Thunderbolt 4 dock with a small particularity: it embeds an integrated power supply and therefore does not require a large external brick like most competing products. the Thunderbolt Go Dock plugs directly into a power outlet with a standard two-prong plug, which will be handy on the go.

The fact that this dock is still plugged into the mains allows it to offer many ports compared to nomadic equivalents to be connected directly to the device, which are often limited. Here we can find two Thunderbolt 4 ports, two USB-A 3.2, one USB-A 2.0, one USB-C 3.2, one 2.5 Gb/s Ethernet, one SD UHS-II, one HDMI 2.1 and one audio jack 3.5 mm.

The accessory can offer up to 90W to charge a device, making it a good choice for 14″ MacBook Pro owners. The product remains compatible with other Apple devices (MacBook Air, iPad with a Thunderbolt port ) or even Windows computers.

The Thunderbolt Go Dock will ship from April 2023 and is expected to cost $399 according to MacRumors. It is possible to register on the OWC website to be kept informed of the opening of orders.
