Alfred Riedl (ÖVP), mayor of the Lower Austrian municipality of Grafenwörth, is said to have already earned more than one million euros with rededication deals. As part of the “Sonnenweiher” project, 200 houses are to be built on other areas around a landscaped lake. Riedl partly owned, partly inherited or bought the plots of land on which they are building. After the rededication for the building in the municipal council – which Riedl chairs – the value rose suddenly.
