It was probably the biggest obstacle to government cooperation between black and blue in Lower Austria: the corona measures decided by the turquoise-green federal government and their political and social followingmath. As is well known, the FPÖ soon switched to an extremely skeptical course following its own lockdown demands at the beginning of the pandemic – and thus picked up corona skeptics and critics of the pandemic measures as voter groups, especially with regard to the compulsory vaccination that had once been decided. In retrospect, too, the Freedom Party had not been very forgiving and often called for the Corona period to be “processed”.
