In Ovifat, in the Waimes area, snow cannons were used to obtain a layer of powder varying between 15 and 20 cm and thus be able to open the green and blue alpine ski slopes as well as the toboggan run. At Baraque Michel, all cross-country ski courses (from 5 to 25 kilometers) were open. The ski club managers are expecting a large crowd on this first opening weekend of the season. The negative temperatures predicted by the IRM on the heights should still allow the practice of board sports this Sunday, or even the following days.
