Overwatch the hero shooter from Blizzard Entertainment is currently celebrating its event of Summer Games 2021which has brought new skins and the return of Lúciobol, although there has been no new content for some time now, apparently a new map will arrive.
It’s been through a deleted post from Dexertowhich announced the incorporation of a new map called Malevento in the Overwatch PTR, a server that is currently deactivated waiting for a new build of the video game.
According to the publication, this new map will be incorporated into the map rotation of the Deathmatch game mode, as was Kanezaka, a map released in January of this year, and before its revelation we were presented with new lore regarding this site. which is located at the foot of Hanamura castle.
In the article, a description of Malevento is given, which will contain small corridors and also larger areas where you can play freely with Widowmaker, it is also mentioned that the map is inspired by Italian architecture, just like in Rialto.
Its release date, as mentioned in the deleted Dexerto article, was set for August 17, however, it is possible that due to all the problems that Blizzard currently has with the class action lawsuit for abuses and other labor crimes, this update is relegated to later.
Overwatch is available on Playstation 4, Playstation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC and Nintendo Switch platforms.
