For Overwatch 2 to launch on October 4th, Blizzard has confirmed that players will need a Battle.net account regardless of platform. has launched a feature Cross-Progression lets Overwatch players consolidate their game accounts across multiple platforms. All data will be saved to Battle.net for immediate playability in Overwatch 2.
One thing to be aware of is that the account merging can only be done once. It must be an account link between your PC and the console of either PlayStation, Xbox or Nintendo platform. Accounts cannot be linked between PCs or consoles. Players must check thoroughly before confirming account linking.
