Achieving a healthy lifestyle involves exercising frequently. Experts recommend, on average, 30 minutes of daily activity to get good results. However, there are those who take the fitness project so seriously that they fall to the extreme, submitting themselves to excessive training routines.
Personal trainer Bruno Marques, from Brasilia, explains that overtraining is the excess of physical exercises. The situation generates stress in the muscles and joints and prevents the body from recovering from one workout to the next. The expert points out that, often, exaggeration compromises the results.

- High fatigue;
- Joint pains;
- Muscle aches;
- Headaches.
“Knowing how to recognize the limits of the body helps to maintain attendance at the gym. The personal collaborates by teaching the student to be more confident regarding their performance”, points out personal trainer Vinicius Oliveira, also from Brasília.
If the student insists on overtraining, he is exposed to joint injuries, for example, in the knee. The individual may also go through a hormonal destabilization.
How to avoid
The ideal is not to work out the same muscle every day and give it a rest of approximately 24 hours. It is also not recommended to do only hypertrophy exercises, that is, it is indicated to intersperse aerobic and stretching activities in the routine.
