Overland Airways has taken delivery of the first of three new E175 E-Jets. The Nigerian company also maintains purchase options for three additional jets. Overland Airways has been in operation for 20 years and is affiliated with Landover Aviation Services Company.
The company plans to operate the E175 jets on scheduled and charter flights. The aircraft have a configuration of 88 seats divided into two classes, contributing to increasing capacity on domestic routes and expanding the network in regional centers. Furthermore, the new aircraft will complement the Nigerian airline’s current fleet of turboprops. “With Embraer, we now have more flexible options to increase our fleet. We will expand our reach and air network, with a fleet capable of meeting all future demand”, says Captain Edward Boyo, Managing Director of Overland Airways.

Simultaneously with the arrival of the new E175 jets, Overland is expanding its presence in Nigeria, with the construction of a new corporate office and more hangars in Lagos. The airline is an Approved Maintenance Organization under the certification of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority.
