Over 50 gets harder with age; The superstar hinted at retirement

England veteran all-rounder Moeen Ali has hinted that he will retire from ODI cricket following this year’s 50-over World Cup in India. The player feels that 50-over cricket becomes tougher with age.

Ali is one of England’s first names in both forms of white-ball cricket, given his spin-bowling and hard-hitting abilities. The off-spinner also played a crucial role in England’s T20 World Cup victory in Australia last year.

The player hinted at his retirement while speaking ahead of the third and final T20I once morest Bangladesh. Ali said he is interested in playing in the 2023 World Cup and making it, but doesn’t think he will stay in that format for much longer.

I don’t set many goals. But the next World Cup must be played, be a part of that World Cup and win that World Cup. Hope to see you there. I am not saying that I will or will not retire – said Ali.
