More fear and terror in Israel. Over 40 people were injured, including ten in serious condition, after being hit by a truck at a bus stop north of Tel Aviv. The truck driver was killed. According to the investigators’ initial indications, it was an attack. The truck hit at the Glilot intersection, near Herzliya, the area where the Mossad headquarters and several IDF intelligence units are located, including intelligence unit 8200.
Following the suspected terrorist attack at the Glilot intersection, United Hatzalah volunteer EMT Eliyah Tubul described the scene: “A truck and a bus were involved, as well as a large number of pedestrians.” United Hatzalah medical teams provided first aid to the injured people: some of them were trapped under the truck. Emergency services are seeking blood donations to help treat the injured. The police, who spoke specifically of “terrorism”, said that large forces had been deployed in the area and asked motorists to divert their routes from the area.
