Over 40 game demos coming to Xbox next week –

Last year, Microsoft launched a promotion called [email protected] Demo Fest, which, as its name suggests, includes video game demos. Many of them.

Obviously it was a success, as they have now confirmed on Xbox Wire what [email protected] Demo Fest is back this year, starting July 11 with a digital showcase of indie games (starts 6pm BST / 7pm CET and can be viewed via regular channels like Twitch and Youtube). After this stream, more than 40 demos will be released and playable on Xbox until July 17. Microsoft explains that some demos “might repost to the Demo channel later, but many will just disappear at the end of the week, so check them out while you can.”

It should also be noted that these are game demos that are sometimes far from finished. Microsoft thinks you should take this opportunity to take a look at it early on, and also give the developers feedback, because some constructive criticism might actually mean you get a better game in the end when it will eventually be released:

« Think of them as “exhibition demonstrations” and not necessarily indicative of the final product. That means you’ll get to experience these games early – soon enough – which is great since you’ll get a chance to provide feedback! You should also note that these games will continue to evolve and be polished closer to release.

Here are five confirmed titles that will receive new demos during the [email protected] Demo Fest :
