Center says death was not due to Kovid
The Central Government has rejected the report that the highest number of registered deaths in the country was due to the death of Kovid. The increase in the number of deaths in 2020 was not due to Kovid’s death, said a member of the Financial Commission, Dr. VK Paul said. According to the Office of the Registrar General, there will be 81.16 lakh deaths in the country by 2020. In 2019, there were 76.41 lakh deaths. Six per cent increase. The Lancet report found that Kovid’s deaths in the country between January 2020 and December 2021 were eight times higher than reported.
