“Outer Banks” actor Alexander Jennings dies after tragic car accident

Mourning on the set of the Netflix series “Outer Banks”: Last week, a tragic accident occurred in South Carolina. The actor Alexander Jennings died at the age of only 22. According to TMZ.com, According to the local police press release, the actor was walking on a main thoroughfare in Charleston on Tuesday morning.

At around 2 a.m. he was hit by a car for the first time. A short time later, another vehicle ran over him. Both drivers committed a hit-and-run. Shortly therefollowing, Jennings was taken to the local hospital, but any help came too late. He succumbed to his severe injuries.

His employer, Kimmie Stewart Casting Agency, confirmed the 22-year-old’s death in a statement: “Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this difficult time.” The crew of the Netflix production “Outer Banks” is also shaken – especially Chase Stokes. In an emotional Instagram post, the 29-year-old actor shared, “My heart is broken. Your life had just begun. We were just talking regarding how excited you were regarding your songs” – and finally adds: “We all love you, you touched all our lives and made us all better people and thank you for that AJ. Fly high, angel.”

Jennings played the photo double and replacement for Stokes in the third season of the hit series, which is currently filming. The 22-year-old’s casting agency said the Netflix streaming service offers grief counseling for anyone who needs it, as Alexander is said to have had numerous friends within the production.
