Some employers offer the opportunity to work outdoors. Office furniture manufacturer Hali is reacting to this with its own product line.
At the beginning of spring, the Upper Austrian office furniture manufacturer Hali is expanding its outdoor product range, which it launched in 2022: together with trading partners, various high-quality outdoor furniture such as tables, armchairs or lounge furniture are offered for companies with an outdoor work area, which are now made from completely recycled material.
The world of work has changed significantly in recent years. Flexibility is becoming increasingly important in everyday work. The topic of new work and the associated work-life balance are already being taken very seriously in many companies. The new work culture is much more people-oriented and this also affects the work environment. Outdoor retreats are becoming more and more important for companies.

“Office work can also take place outdoors. Attractively designed retreat rooms become small oases of well-being,” emphasizes Hali CFO Daniel Erlinger. This does not necessarily have to be a specially created company garden. It can also be an outdoor area of the canteen or cafeteria that stimulates work.
The following aspects speak in favor of an outdoor work area in the company:
– Increase in creativity and productivity
Variety makes everyday work more lively. An outdoor workspace offers this variety. Especially in phases of concentration or during brainstorming, fresh air can – in the truest sense of the word – provide a fresh wind in the head.
– Improvement of the working atmosphere
The personal flexibility created by an outdoor workplace brings a significant increase in employee satisfaction, which has a positive effect on the overall working atmosphere. A place that encourages creativity and productivity while providing relaxation increases the happiness of those involved.
– Positive health aspects
According to studies, regular contact with fresh air improves your health significantly because stress is reduced in the great outdoors and the feel-good factor increases. An outdoor work area is therefore an important contribution to the health of the staff.
– Environmental friendliness
An outdoor workspace is great for meetings or conferences. In combination with the increase in creativity, this means a real win-win situation. The meetings also have an environmental benefit. No air conditioning or artificial light is required outdoors, which reduces energy consumption.
– The value of the office
An outdoor workspace also adds value to the office. This makes the location more modern and attractive. A modern office is also a plus point for applicants who are invited to an interview. And it also offers a certain something during customer visits.
