Out of the crisis in Guinea: the Forces vives ”demand”…

The meeting between representatives of civil society and the Prime Minister was held on Monday, April 3, 2023, at the Donka Islamic Center. During this meeting, various files were submitted for review by Bernard Goumou.

Representatives of civil society notably demanded the pure and simple release of all detainees, as well as the lifting of judicial controls against political leaders. Regarding the CRIEF file, the representatives demanded that the accused be placed under judicial supervision. “All the files have been examined one by one, without exception,” says our source.

Among the cases mentioned are those of FNDC members in prison, such as Foniké Mengué, Ibrahima Diallo and Saïkou Yaya Barry. As well as political leaders in exile, such as Sidya Touré and Cellou Dalein Diallo.

After having listened to the prerequisites of the Forces vives, the Prime Minister promised to report to whom it may concern. He also expressed his willingness to find solutions to the issues raised. “We will get along”, declared the Prime Minister at the end of the meeting.

The Forces Vives delegation hopes that solutions will be quickly found to resolve the various issues.
