“In my capacity as Agent and representative of the candidate Mr. Ousmane Sonko, I have submitted a complete file which meets all the requirements of the law and is consistent with the jurisprudence of the Constitutional Council.
However, I was surprised to be told, in the presence of the technician who accompanied me, that the file would be incomplete. I was unable to extract any details on this incompleteness, the response from the President of the sponsorship committee being that the latter would have received all the documents and correspondence submitted and that I would receive notification of the decision, which I find unacceptable and incomprehensible, because if there was a verification of the file submitted without the presence of the candidate’s representative, it is a violation of the electoral law and an appeal will be filed when the decision and the reasons for the invalidation of the candidacy are made known to me notified.
