In Senegal after their release from prison this Thursday evening, opponents Ousmane Sonko and Bassirou Diomaye Faye faced the press this afternoon. One week before the presidential election in Senegal they HAVE displayed their optimism for final victory.
At least thirteen countries in West Africa are affected, to varying levels, by major internet outages. Several underwater cables were reportedly damaged. The consequences could last several weeks. Ivory Coast is the country hardest hit by the outage which affects millions of people.
