This Wednesday, in an interview with Encuentro con Julio Villagran, FMLN politician Manuel Flores questioned the government’s actions in the face of the serious damage that occurred last Tuesday in the country due to heavy rains, where he also pointed out that with the floods crops might be lost and the government has not made any strategy for food sovereignty.

“Where are the protection and mitigation systems? Where is the money? There is enough money when it is not stolen, but where are the works? Municipalities that were not flooded before are flooded… The saddest and most serious thing is the price of food. Now that we have the problem of flooding and lost crops, what is the strategy for food sovereignty?” the politician questioned.

On the subject of health, the politician said that in light of the epidemiological alert for dengue in the country, which has claimed three lives so far, there has been no real preventive action by health promoters in the most vulnerable sectors of El Salvador.

“There is a very serious crisis coming in the health sector, they have not fumigated, they have not done abatement, there is no longer any preventive action by health promoters, this is because they have buried primary health care” Flores mentioned

In this regard, he pointed out that the government abuses its power arbitrarily, disrespecting the laws and the constitution of the republic, demonstrating arrogance and feeling superior to others.

“When they abuse power, sooner or later they will realize that they will be judged, no one escapes justice… Do not be clowns, comply with the law for which you were elected and stop politicking and solve the problems that the country is demanding of you.” said the politician.

Flores said he would put the Farabundo Martí National Liberation Party back on track, highlighting that the party has history and experience, made up of veterans and young people, who are organized throughout El Salvador.
