On July 19, Frank, a 66-year-old Belgian from Borsbeek, died unexpectedly of a heart attack while on vacation in Romania.
Since then, his children are still waiting for the repatriation of his body to Belgium. Marianne and Toon are going through a real ordeal between proxies, poor communication and above all the sending of papers via bpost. They deplore the situation with GVA.
“We have already thought of going to Romania ourselves to recover his body,” explain the two children of the deceased. Marianne and Toon add: “Our father is not a bundle that got lost. Unfortunately, that’s how they treat us. With barely a few apologies and short emails”.
It was not until Thursday, August 19 that the right documents for Frank’s repatriation finally arrived at their destination following many twists and turns. But unfortunately that doesn’t mean it’s all over. “I guess we won’t see anything until early next week. It’s five weeks following his death and that’s way too long. It’s not even a suspicious death, ”regret the two Belgians.
