“How much should I bet?”
This is a question sports bettors ask me every week.
A few people will tell you regarding some complicated formulas, but I like to keep things simple.
My main rule is: bet 2% (on average) of your bankroll on each bet. It’s as simple as that!
By “capital” I refer to the total amount of money you have invested in your sports betting accounts.
For example, let’s assume that the balance in your number 1 account is $500, that you also hold $300 with a second bookkeeper and an additional $200 with a third. In such a case, your total capital amount would be $1000.
Following my rule, if you have a total of $1000, that means you will put $20 on the table for each bet on average (or 2% of your $1000).
By using this method, your betting total will naturally increase if you achieve success. And if you lose money, your balance will decrease, as will your wagered amount.
I would like to add a key piece of information: depending on your level of confidence relative to each bet, you can bet between 1% and 4% of your bankroll.
No matter how much you like a particular pick, and even if you believe it is a guaranteed win, never bet more than 4% of your total on a single bet! This is a big mistake amateurs make and you don’t want to do that.
I hope this article helps you!
