She is survived by her four children: daughters Suzanne and Deboragh, and sons Brendan and Daniel. nuala’s warmth also touched the lives of her grandchildren, Robert, Eoghan, William, and Emily, who will forever cherish memories of their grandmother. The bond Nuala shared with her siblings was deep and enduring. Áine,Collette,Maura,Sean,and Brian,along with her late brother Kevin,all mourn the loss of their beloved sister. Funeral Arrangements Announced

A funeral mass will be held to honor her memory on Saturday, December 21st at 11:00 am. The service will take place at St Kilian’s Church in Kingswood. Following the mass, a cremation service will be held at 12:30 pm at Newland’s Cross Crematorium.

We are joined by her son,renowned broadcaster Brendan Courtney,to share his memories and celebrate the life of this extraordinary woman. Brendan, thank you for taking the time to speak with us.



**Brendan Courtney:** It’s my honor to talk about my mother.She was truly one of a kind.



**Interviewer:** Despite your grief,you found the strength to share a stunning tribute to your mother publicly. What led you to do that?



**Brendan Courtney:** Mum was so loved by everyone who knew her. She had this unbelievable ability to make people feel appreciated and special. I felt it was important to share that with the world, to celebrate the woman she was and the impact she had on so many lives.



**Interviewer:** Can you tell us a little about your mother, Nuala? What were some of her defining qualities?



**Brendan Courtney:** mum had a heart of gold. [S]he was incredibly kind, generous, and always put family first. She was also incredibly strong, both physically and emotionally. She faced challenges with grace and dignity, and she taught us the importance of resilience.



**Interviewer:** We understand that Nuala was also a devoted wife to her late husband, Frank.How important was family to her?



**Brendan Courtney:** Family was everything to Mum. She cherished her children, grandchildren, siblings, and extended family. Family gatherings were always a source of joy for her, and she made sure everyone felt welcome and loved.



**Interviewer:** What will you remember most about your mother?



**Brendan Courtney:** I think I’ll remember most her infectious laugh. She had this way of finding humor in everyday life,even during tough times. She also had this incredible ability to listen without judgment, and she always knew how to offer the perfect words of wisdom.



**Interviewer:** It must be incredibly difficult losing your mother. What brings you comfort in this difficult time?



**Brendan Courtney:** Knowing that she lived a full and happy life surrounded by love. The memories we shared as a family are precious to me, and they will help me get through this. I also find comfort in knowing that she is at peace now, reunited with dad.
