The Cassipontine troupe Les Comédiens du Chêne, which has just celebrated its 35th anniversary, begins the 2023 season with a vaudeville in the spirit of 1900 entirely revisited and directed by the founder of the troupe Viviane Da Silva. This work was written by Alfred Hennequin, a contemporary of Georges Feydeau, who praised the skill of this Belgian playwright and writer in constructing intrigues that keep the viewer spellbound. “How do you get out of a bad situation when you’re unfaithful and stalked by a stepmother, a naïve wife and a couple of suspicious friends?
